Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring

Join a boy and his dog as they greet all the signs of spring in this beautifully illustrated picture book.

My Spring Robin

All the typical sights and sounds of spring are delightfully presented in this picture book, which inspired my own kids to open up their senses to the season.

It became sort of a contest for us to see who could spot or hear the first robin of spring, and whoever did would call out, “my spring robin”!

Bunny’s First Spring

A sweet bunny is born in the spring then experiences – and worries about – the changes that come with the seasons. His parents and nature reassure him with hope to come. What a charming read about rebirth and new life!

Preschool through Adult

The Listening Walk

Such a fun book to inspire your family to head out on your own listening walk to experience the wonder in of the world around us!

Miss Rumphius

This classic picture book tells of the enchanting adventures of “The Lupine Lady” and her challenge to make the world a beautiful place.

The Gardener

Set during the Great Depression and told through letters, this touching story is about a little girl who comes to stay with her uncle – a baker – in the city.

Her hopeful and determined presence begins transformation not only for her uncle’s shop and customers, but for him as well.

We Are the Gardeners

So many lessons like hard work, perseverance, and patience can be gleaned from the Gaines Family’s adventure in starting their own garden, not to mention inspiration for starting your own!

Make Way for Ducklings

Between the beautiful sketch illustrations and humor, your children are going to love reading about this story about a special duck family trying to find a place to call home.

Marshmallow

This is such an endearing story about an unusual friendship between a bunny and a cat. Be careful, your kids may want a bunny after reading this, LOL.

Does your family have your own favorite picture books for spring? I’d love to hear about them!
