And as Christian parents, the task of providing an education that prepares our children spiritually, morally, and academically can feel totally overwhelming at times. We want to ground them in faith, but we also want them to thrive in the world. How do we find balance?

What Exactly is the Vibrant Home Life Summit?
This is a free 5-day online event running from October 30 to November 3, 2023, where we are bringing together over 30 Christian speakers, pastors, authors, and parents to share practical wisdom, inspiration, and encouragement.
Here’s a quick look at what the Vibrant Home Life Summit will address:

And guess what! One of those speakers is yours truly! I’ve been blessed to share two workshops with topics near and dear to my heart:
“Raising Gospel-Fluent Kids”
Despite parents’ efforts to raise their kids in Christian homes, statistics show that 2/3 of Christian teens leave the church after high school. Clearly, the typical practices that Christian families do of attending church, plugging into Sunday School, reading bible stories, and even memorizing scripture aren’t cutting it. What’s missing? As Jeff Vanderstelt says in his book, Gospel Fluency: “We need to know how to believe and speak the truths of the gospel – the good news of God – in and into the everyday stuff of life.” What does that look like? In this session, I share practical advice for how NOT TO only raise kids who can check off boxes, but to raise kids with gospel fluency and a gospel-centered lens.
“Gospel-Powered Lifeschooling”
What is lifeschooling? Others have their own specific definitions, but I personally view it as a lifestyle of learning and growing that is driven by humbled gratefulness for Jesus – the Giver of Life – and the desire to steward well the unique story we each have been gifted with, because of who He is and what He has done for us. Lifeschooling isn’t about academics, but more about prioritizing the cultivation of what can’t be tested or graded, like mindset, character, habits, life skills, and a life of intentionality that is powered by the gospel.
